S4 shouldnt even be a thought in your mind. If you go audi, get the a4 1.8t, it gets good gas mileage and the motor has enough room for you to do what you want with it without becoming bored. If that makes any sense. Although, i would have to suggest a vw golf, smaller and cheaper. But if you can afford buy w/e, just note that the less you pay upfront, the more miles it will have, the more problems you will have to deal with. And you will have problems if you upgrade, i have the ko4 setup, and its supposed to be the most reliable turbo upgrade, but its a bigger headache then i could have immagined.

S4 ya right... not at 17 at least that is really hard and you have to be good at talking your parents into things. I am 17 and convinced my dad to get me a a4 b6 1.8tq so if you really want an s4 keep asking and the maintenence without warranty is just way to expensive. At 17 years old you should be happy you are getting an audi man.

It's possible. I mean, one of my friends just convinced his parents to buy him an RS4.

He doesn't even have a license yet.

I am in high school, and i do not have very much money for maintence, so shood i go for a b5 1.8t or a 2.7t s4
Well you SHOOD most definitly look for a less expensive car being most universities would laugh at that spelling.

I got a '96 a4 at 17 and still have it. Ya, there is a little maintenance $here and there, but if you do it yourself it's not much more than any other car. All I've had to replace is timing belt (precautionary),wheel bearings, and coil. Besides, you can'tput a price onthe ammountladies you will pick up because of it!! : ) But seriously I'd make the same decision again today.

If you had to pick either an a4 or s4 then pick the a4, but you could probably find something easier and less expensive to maintain.

But im not gonna hold u back, your more then welcome to get the either of the 2 and join the forums

Im sure if we looked at 99% of members responses, there would be an error with grammar. If you can't realize what a person is saying, then I would complain.......
