just had a tuneup, plugs, air filter, new radiator, timing belt, thermstat, brake pads all around, roller pulleys, oil change -- $1585-- independant garage-- would of cost around 2x that at the dealer.

if it is a 1.8t, DO IT YOURSELF!!! very simple job, will tak 6-8 hours your first time and like 2-3 after that. VERY tstraightforward. nothing special needed. JUST TIME. ECS sells a all inclusive kit and audiworld has a great walkthrough.. just remember "INDEX THE CRANK GEAR"

Firestone is the worst place I have ever gone. I had taken my current car a 99 mustang cobra to many places and I took it to firestone for a new tire and not only did the over-charge me they also added the 20 dollar extended tire warranty that I said I diddnt want. I will never take ti there again. I cant wait to get my a4

Try the firestone place. I got mine done recently and it cost
me$521. But then, I got all the tune ups and some other stuff
done as well. So since you can buy the stuff off of ebay, see
if there's someone who'll change it for you for less than $230,
otherwise just stick with the firestone guys.
