hey guys, im new to the site. i might be picking up a 97 a4 2.8 quattro 5spd. My friend and I are the only ones in the area into building REAL cars, not those stupid civics with big wings. however, i am hardcore into japanese cars, like the mkIII supra and mazda rx7 and no nothing about audis. could you guys give me a base horsepower for the car, and what i can do to get it rolling. a couple people have told me that its not a good motor to turbo, and that i should find a 2.7T to swap in. how much could I find that motor for? putting it in wouldnt be a problem for us, so we dont have to pay for labor. and also, what kind of front aero bumpers do they make? thanks for the help.

 

the 97 2.8 12V is not much of a tunable vehicle relible yes but not to much on the performance side to do the 2.7 swap it would be a lot cheaper to sell your 97 and buy a S4 just not worth it if you want something that is tunable get a 1.8T or a 98+ 30V 2.8

 

btw no body kits please I see you arn't into civics lets keep it that way these are not civics no bodykits please
