My uncel wants to trade his Is300 for my b6 A4
he doesnt care whats wrong with it (casue theres nuthin wong with it)
the cars in good shape and its clean, and it might come with a fresh coat of paint

my brake light keeps going on (i could go get it fixed but i been busy and lazy)[&o]
my lumbar on my driver seat is broken[&o]
my hood has massive about of rock chips and a dent[&o]
i have a crack on my windshield also[&o]
3 count em 3 curb up rims (from the previous owner)[&o]
my brakes are sqeeking again even though they are new rotors and pads[&o]
its almost time for the timing belt job[&o]
and some other things picking away at me

I would trade for it. Supra motor in rwd sedan you cant go wrong. Plus it was owned by a mechanic. Audis are nice but that lexus is nicer plus you can strap some turbos on that and make it a monster.

 

I personally think the Audi is a better looking car. But mechanically the Lexus is far superior, as far as reliablity.

And the IS motor yes it is similar but not the exact same as the Supra motor. It doesn't havn't have the forged parts the Supra has in it's motor for the turbos. But with that being said if you really wanted to you could change that. The IS motor has different cams as well.

If you wanted to go the boost way head swap+turbos+ecu+piston+rods+arp rod bolts. you should be one happy ****.

 

Any pics, whats the mileage diff compared to yours. If its substantially lower then go for it. Just don't disappear on us.

 

the IS300 got the supra nonturboed engine the 2JZ-GE, the twin turboed Supra engine is the 2JZ-GTE which is a god like immortal engine that can handle boost like no other with no internal modifications

i know alot about the IS300 for some wierd reason casue i always thought of it as my compition, u cant take the JDM out of me i guess
we'll see, i still love my audi we been through alot together

 

as much as i would like you to keep the a4 it sounds like getting the is300 would be the wiser decision. you just better not disappear or anything

 

I had this same dilemma before I bought my Audi. Needless to say I chose the Audi.
