i have a 98 a4 30v v6 quattro and my friend wont shut up about his 99 3.8 v6 mustang and how it is soooo fast.

I was curious if anyone would know what a race would be like and how my a4 will stack up against his mustang?

... I dont understand how somebody with a V6 mustang can say their car is fast... knowing that there is always 2 or 3 V8 mustangs within a 1 mile radius at any given time... lol, it boggles my mind! He is allowed to make such claims as "my v6 mustang is fun" or "My v6 mustang is cool" ... because those are really matters of opinion. But, knowing that for a couple grand more, you can score a v8... that is actually pretty fast... he should prolly reconsider his statement... perception is everything I suppose -- maybe he's coming out of a mercury sable or something.

 

A 99 Mustang 3.8 V6 is SLOW AS ALL GET OUT! My girlfriend had one before we traded it in for an 04 TL.

Unless you can't beat an escort or focus you will have no probs.

 

You should be able to destroy a v6 mustang... I destroyed one a couple days ago I know it had an exhaust but its just a V6 its slow

 

Mustang's are lame cars! Come down to the south, you'll hear it all the time..... my ____________ (fill in the blank with either mustang, camero, bronco, etc) is the best and drives better than your audi. This is the main reason I don't have a boyfriend right now.

 

oh come on, I have along with alot of other members have embarrest many stangs, v8s and v6s. Alls u need to seal the deal is a exhaust,intake, and even a chip would help.

 

Mustangs are great but only if they are teh V8 and moded. I had one ebfore my audi and i loved it. But yes u should be able to beat his car if ur stick. BUt it will be close. BUt he also will have trouble planting the rear wheels with that solid rear axle.

 

Planting? when ur working with a v6 in those i highly doubt they have trouble gettin that power down.

 

I love female tuners, so sexy, but yeah the 99 v6 is slow man.
