Hey guys. Just bought a 1997 Audi A4 quattro 1.8 turbo. Lovely car. Any ideas of increasing power with out messing up the warranty?? Like Chips of little do it yourself mods?? Any one got the figures of wat these do down the quarter mile and how much power they put out ETC. Also wats the potential off these engine?? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers ppl.

Mechanical Warranty i got from the dealership when i bought the car. Well i dont care much about that but yea any help would be appreciated. Any lil mods and performance figures. Also engine potential.

I would check what the warranty they gave you actually covers first. It really is too old to have a warranty.

An extended warranty from original would put it at 9 years /100,000k which means it should have expired or will very soon.

do a search, the engine has potential from its stock setting of 150hp, to chipped w/ exhaust and a few other small mods to 225hp, to ko4 w/ 250hp, to gt series or bigger with numbers into the 337whp. the car has a lot of direction and potential just depends how much you want to spend. take some time do some searching there is a lot out there.

 

yea that motor has a ton of potential its just how far you wana take it
