Default A4B5 rear diff; compatability? LSD?

First off, my 99.5 A4 wagon does not have an LSD rear differential. I'm a bit peeved by this because I had been told all along that the rear was limited slip.

Back on subject...

I was getting noise from in back and found one of the rearoutput shafts to be loose. The issue is a simple bearing, nothing special.

I got the thing taken compltely apart and discover that I have a simple differential back there! No limited slip. This explains why I couldn't get moving when I had two wheels on ice a few months ago.

So, here are my options:
1. Rebuild current diff and get an lsd to go in it. I don't know where to start for this and would rather do option 2.

2. Get a completerear diff, housing and all, from another A4/(S4?/A6?) which is compatible. Hopefully, one with LSD. I do not know whatcan be swapped in,so I started this thread.

Specifications:
1999.9 A4, 1.8t,quattro, 5spd, avant
Differential Code = DAJ
Differential ratio = 3.889
