I reposted this from the general forum, because of no responses. After driving around lately in my buddies A8L, I've become obbsessed with the interior blubs in the footwells, map box, underdoor handles, etc. does anyone know if these bulbs from the A8 can be put into the A4 bulb location to give that hyperwhite effect without frying the sockets with too hot of bulbs.

 

you can buy LEDS online bro. or buy xenon replacements they are more white...

 

SmokeuU's right, LED's would be your best bet, there was a thread on this within the last week.

 

well i saw one thread had those led or some hyperwhite light, but those are blindingly bright, and might melt the socket. the A8 has the same look but there arent as bright, probably a better swap in my mind.

 

my bad, wasn't trying to come off a dick or anything. I assumed you just wanted the LED look. I searched for pics of the A8 interior lights, and couldnt find any. Do you have any pics, because in my head i'm picturing something thats just like those LED replacement bulbs discussed prior.

 

unfortunately not, its totally OEM factor thing, i guess if you want sweet interior light just pay the 80k and youll have sweet interior light as well as a sick ride. I figured to just find out what the bulbs size are, but if you get a chance the check out an A8 besides being a sick ride all together, it has courtesy lights behind the door handles, in the side map boxes, under the dash in the footwells, i think its lame to be this obsessed with light bulbs but it definetely caught my eye. btw, pro i didn't think you were trying to come across as one, you always seem to be one of the first to respond to any post, your input is valuable.

 

Vision bulbs are too bright? I posted a liink in your other thread. I have seen those in cars without any house damage or overload damage caused from them.

 

Well, thank you.... and yes, I know I really need to find a job that I don't complete 8 hours of work in a matter of 2 Max.... seriously, I think at the most I spend 20 hrs a week, at work, actually working. But hell, Ive asked several times for them to give me something else to do, and they say there is nothing... so I do what I do, kick it on AF, and search around the internet for random stuff that catches my interest.

I'd go check an A8 out tonight, but there aren't any Audi dealerships near me, closest one is 2 hours away! There is an old guy though that rolls by my house about 6:30 every night with a BRAND NEW A8L, I kid you not I sit next to the picture window when watching TV, because then I can see it coming down the street. Goddamn that car is pure sex. It makes my A4 look like a Metro.

 

No car sicker than an A8 L W12, but last i checked i didn't have $110,000.00 lying around anywhere. I was somewhat dissappointed with the A6, after driving my A4 and my buds A8 i thought audi wasn't capable of making a bad car, but the c6 A6, sorry to say but what a piece. crappy leather, weird options, the dumbest glovebox in the world, and i just don't know what they were thinking. sorry to say but the 5 series, or and E-class, are just a far superior cars. I guess ill have to save a little longer for the 8 instead of the 6.

 

may sound lame, but ask your neighbor to look inside at night, youll see what im saying. such a trivial thing, "lights," but they look sweet.
