Default aaahhh!!

so i live in Iowa and i'm going to school in Colorado... about 1000 miles away.

Well i got about 1500 miles on my new B7 before leaving and on my way out i hit alot of construction about 3 hours away. When i arrived i noticed my left rear tire was losing air! [:@] i didn't have time to take it or find a shop right then so i waited until morning and it definitely lost even more air. After grumbling and being upset i opened up the spare tire well and seeing a full size spare put a smile on my face. Switched tires and all is good... just bummed that i got a flat after only 2800 miles. I found the culprit - some type of large nail or hex drill bit that went in between the tread. Left it in so i can try to get it filled and repaired.

sorry guys just wanted to vent and get a little frustration out. Oh well at least i'm not running on a spare tire while waiting to get it replaced. [:'(]

I get a nail or screw in one of my tires every other week (literally). Every day last week I had to stop and fill up my tire before I came to work. It sucks but it's never something that's bothered me...especially the really slow leaks (and it only costs $5 to get fixed).

That part of life, man. Nails and debris suck, but very very common.

yep it sucks but it definitely could have been worse. The jack the car comes with looks pretty dinky... luckily a guy at school helped me out who had a full size jack.

the screw was just to left of the center of the tire. Luckily not the sidewall and yes i was very thankful to see that!
