Default about the A4 w/CVT

For those of you who own an A4 with the CVT transmission and multitronic... I just want to know if you guys are satisfied with its speed and acceleration?

People keep telling me 0-60 is like 8 seconds, but I'm pretty convinced its faster than that. I previously owned a 99 Mustang 3.8L and the Audi seems quicker, if by just a little bit.

I was just wondering what you guys thought about this

Acceletation times with the cvt are decieving. It may seem faster than it acually is due to the constant acceleration. A 3 litre cvt should kill a v6 mustang any day of the week thou. Personally i put the cvt up near the top of my list of fun to drive cars. Its a real blast and its different than just about every other car on the road, even if its not a quattro.

I have a '07 A4 CVT FWD and its a lot faster than my previous '04 V6 3.0 240 HP 2-door Honda Accord. The Multitronic option is unbelievably smooth. The Sport Mode is super fast as well.

I'm very happy with the way it shifts the "shift" points in sport or manumatic modes are fun. I'm weighing out whether or not to chip/flash with an APR program. I keep hearing that the CVT is weak, but I'm wondering if transmission failure is guaranteed with this mod.
