Default ABS/Brake Light

Okay, I searched for a possible cause, I checked the fluids, all that is left is the sensors.. I have felt it stiff to push the brake when the light is on..

So would it be the sensors or something else. On hondas (yes I own a accord, as well), the abs is pretty much useless after 10 yrs.. Would it be the same on the A4?

Thanks

i think tat the sensor is more likely do to low brake pads. Check them and then tell us what they were like. If not that u prolly need to take it in or connect to a vag-com and get the code.

Apparently the sensor costs £100. I recently had some work done on my control arms and they had moved the sensor offline.
Put it back, reset the light and it was ok

Low Brake pads? Hmm, going to check that.. But the light is intermittent and usually comes on when you hit a bump.. Or when I say strange the light doesn't come on for me to my wife.. lol..

Thanks fellas, I guess it's time to start ordering a few new things..

Try to vag it, if you cant connect to the abs control module, then the module is shot. Thats a $2400 problem. If it does connect it will tell you which sensor it the problems

have alook at your sensors since you had work done around that area
make sure tone rings are clean and sensor is cnnected proper
since you say it happins over bumps it might just be a wire
