Been having problems with brake lights! First, the brake lights would stay on...infrequently, perhaps for 10 mins, perhaps for 10 seconds. The only light that would come on on the dash was the engine Management light.

Took the car to a good <non audi> garage for computer diagnostics. Thought there was a problem with the brake light switch, replaced it, then there were even more problems.

Brake lights would only work infrequently, but, not stay on this time.

However, when you did press the brake, the ABS and Traction Control lights on the dash would come up and stay on. Now, whenever I drive the car, no lights come on at the start, but when I press the brakes hard, the ABS and traction control lights come on and stay on. As far as I can tell, the brake lights are not working at the back of the car.


Phoned Audi...soonest they can have the car in? 31st August. Any help would be great.
