I turned my AC on the other day and it took a while for it to cool. Thinking no big deal it takes a while. When I started to drive it would get cool, once I stopped it started to get warmer. It kept doing this. I had the AC checked at one of the quick lube places to see if they needed to add anything that maybeit was low and it checked out fine for freeon(sp).

if the freon is fine and it only happens when your stopped it sounds like your condensor is worn out.

But then again lube techs the master oil changers they are...are notorious dumbasses though its not that hard to read a pressure gauge.

I have a 2000 A4 2.8.

Actually I took my vehicle to two places to make sure. Plus every place I went had free AC so I took advantage of it. It might be the condensor you think?

Default RE: AC

sounds like the condensor to me too, odd for it to go out that soon though... maybe a leak in a line somewhere?
