Guys, i want to wire an Amateur Radio direct to the Battery and i cant seem to find a way thru the bulk head for access.. Also, there are options for a 12v socket in the boot.. my can doesn't have this but will the wiring be in the boot anyway?? as this would also do for me, although it may have limited amps..

I found a thred that said there is a terminal under the drivers side dash.. can anybody tell me if its easy to get to? or if there is an easy way to get thru to the Battery?? it would be preferable..

 

never fit a direct line to a radio from the battery always come from a switched fuse (live only when ignition on) flat battery is the result of direct

 

power from the fuse box only

 

Now THAT is pricless advice.. lol.. thanks.. i think im going to go look and see for myself if i can get to these terminals.. only thing is i need a pos and a neg.. maybe i could get away with just earthing the neg?? i'll ask a sparks!! hehe..

One other thing is it needs around 25amps.. is this going to be too much for the terminals??

Also the lead im using to power the Radio is fused..

 

there are many fuses above 25 amps and all are switched live

 

the neg should be to the chassis only
