Default Aftermarket Headunit help.

hey folks, im needing a little help. my friend just bought a 1.9TDI A4 2003 plate. (uk model) im a mechanic to trade and he asked me to install his alpine tv headunit instead of his standard system. however after plugging in the headunit it does not turn on, the problem being there is not a switched positive going to the unit. this is because the stadard unit is controlled by canbus and not a simple 12volt positive, how can i wire up the unit so it turns on with the ign, and where do i get the switched + from since the system is can bus?? many thanks

you need to wire a switched on, there is the 75x terminal under the knee pannel on the left side that you can run a wire to and it should work well
