As some of you may have noticed from my previous posts I am rebuiling a wrecked 01 audi a4. Well I am just about done with everything except for seatbelst and needing an air bag cover for the passenger side. I think I tracked down the seatbelts but I am having a problem with the air bag cover. I called the dealership and they told me they don't sell just the cover, they sell the whole dash for $1,100. Any one have any suggestions on what I should do. Do you think an apolstery shop can make something for a cover...

 

junkyards will definitely have one...have you tried www.car-part.com ?

 

Tryed all the junkyard in my area and they have nothing. I had already checked out carpart.com and they are asking around $500. It just seems a little steep for me, also I really didin't want to replace my whole dash I was hoping there was another way to ficks it...

 

$500 would include a new airbag..maybe it's one piece like the driver side? if it is, your best bet is to wait for one to pop up on ebay..i've seen them go for pretty cheap on there

 

well $500 does not include the airbags. Also I already bought the airbags. If I could I would wait for a dash to come along on ebay but I am kind of in a hurry to get this car done. I have had it for 2 months now and would like to start driving it soon.

 

hey if you need a dash cover I have one for sale but it is blue $175.00 and its yours I also have a drivers side airbag with steering wheel that is blue also if you have a black one and want to switch as I am looking for a black steering wheel with air bag let me know
