Well I'm getting ready to do the airbox mod with a K&N filter but I'm a little hesitant to do so because of the oncoming snow. I live in chicago and during the winter it can get pretty nasty and I will need to drive in unpaved snow every so often. So has anyone had expierence with it in snow? Can I make some short of cover to shield it?

My suggestion is instead of using mesh for the hole into the wheel well, use another K&N filter. it won't let snow or water get through and if it gets clogged you still have the normal airway open.
