Hi, iv just got the air con re-gassed and now the fan on the radiator which im guessing is for the air con has become quite loud.. sounds like a bloody plane!! lol... Is this normal??

Also, Its not THAT cold.. my 98 vectra was quite a bit cooler!! is this normal?? or can the temp be adjusted other that on the pannel inside the car??

Yeah its normal. Sounds like a giant fan under the hood and no engine sound right? Mine and others do the same.

 

Maybe your a/c condensor fan on the radiator needs replaced.

If its really loud, you probably need a new one.

Its DIY if you like the challenge! Its got to be easier than the t-belt!

Phew.. thats good.. i wander if its cos the air con was low on gas that i didnt hear it before!! it was next to usless untill i got it re-gassed and then it got noisy!! maybe the unit wasnt running as the gas was low??

Should the air con fan thats on the red be working all the time?? i would have thought that only when the unit needed cooling down..

Overtime! it comes right on!! as soon as the Aircon is switched on it starts up.. even from cold.. mind you, the average air temp weve had over here latley has been between 25-30+.. so maybe it working too hard..

 

is this sound on constantly or maybe a minute or two? because when your secondary air pump is going bad it sounds like a jet engine

 

Its on as long as the aircon is on.. if its in econ mode the fan turns off.. iv usualy got the aircon set to 'LOW' and not a set temp.. is this overworking the unit?? maybe i should set it too 18-19c ..
