I talked to a former employee of HKS, and he was saying while he worked there, they were trying to develop an intake that made significant gains over stock... and they couldnt, so they were gonna scrap it... then he quits, and a few months later, they come out with the kit -- the kit that they know doesnt make any real gains... but, people will buy it, and they will be more than happy to sell it.

I run stock with a K&N filter. I'd suggest a test pipe if you want to make your car breathe better... but I noticed you expressed concern over CEL's

Ok, this might be a dumb question, since i haven't messed around with my airfilter or airbox yet. (car is a few months new to me). Is it possible to do a 'swiss-cheese' airbox modifcation w/K&N filter like you can do with the MKIII VR6? That was my previous car, and it gave nice sound to it too. I'm not sure if this is possible with the Audi, but wanted to check in and see if anyone did it. Ideas? Thanks!

as david said why bother. Its really not going to give you much or maybe not anything maybe just drop in a K&N replacement that is all
