Airbag help !
Hi gentlement.
Audi A4 1.8T 2000.
Recently, when I turned on my Audi, the airbag light was appearing. I've spoken with someone here, and he told me I need to
change airbag control.
It's true or I can do something?
This is the code:
VAG-COM Version: Release 311.2-N
Control Module Part Number: 8D0 959 655 K
Component and/or Version: Airbag Front+Seite 1002
Software Coding: 00104
Work Shop Code: WSC 06335
1 Fault Found:
65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error
00-10 - - - Intermittent
Thanks for your support .

that code usally means the control unit needs replacement. airbag control unit check themselves and if they find internal faults they will stop operating, it's a liability issue. don't forget your coding, a new control unit will need that coding to tell it what the car has for bags etc.
The control module cost 600$ can + 160$ for installation in dealer. If I change myself, There is a procédure to change it ? Can I need unplug the battery , Can I run without this module. after can I reinstall the new one and work with my Vag Com for reprogram the code,
Thanks
Thanks
airbags are going to be a ton of money... s'why i had mine stolen. but for good reason, airbags are one of the only things i won't do myself. when i had to have mine replaced i had it all done at the dealer, i woudn't touch em. after all, the only time you're gonna find out if they work or not is when u get smoked...
yeah man. any other repair or mod i highly encourage you go out, get the tools and learn something new about the car, and save some money. but airbags.... nah, i'll spend what it takes to do it right.
Edit: btw, the price you have there $700 inc. installation seems pretty reasonable.
