Default Airbox mod woes

Maybe I'm just mechanically retarded, but I'm having some issues removing the airbox to get to what I need to cut and drill. Pulled off the big side bolt, the inlet hoses and the wire attached under the heatshield. The thread on this mod doesnt show how to do this, maybe because its so easy? Anyway- I snapped some pics of the wires that are keeping me from pullin this sucker out (do I even need to remove the whole thing?).

I pulled this little suction cup type deal out and couldnt take out the plug.

These wires are preventing me from pulling out the whole box. I disconnected the MAF from the box itself, and one of the hoses leading to the check valve, but still couldnt get it off.

Any suggestions would help, I feel like a noob. My bentley manual didnt help much either.

Okay I have a question for you, that wire that goes into the top of the box (circle rubber part with wire going into the middle) how do you remove that cause I got a K&n intake setup comming and I was wondering how I was going to do that

Man...all I had to do was search.

Embarassing, seeing as I tell people to do it all the time.

So did you get it? The wires in the pic that go into the top of the box are hard to get out...well the rubber around it is what is hard. Glad to hear you figured it out..

btw where did you get your bentley manual?
