Before I go in there and pull everything apart. Is there a resonator or a silencer on our airboxes that muffles or silences the sound of the intake. Cause if there is I'd like to take it off and maybe for now it'll sound alittle better. I did search and I just bought the car so I haven't taken a good look under the hood yet.

im not sure how much of a resonatior it is, but there is some sort of foam filled flap vavle at the bottom of the air box... it dosent really make any sound difference though, better off just doing the airbox mod

 

Yeah I'm just iffy about cutting wholes into my car.. Plus I might get an evoms intake sometime in the future so the holes might cause a problem down the line

 

hm, i dont see them causing problems with the evoms, but if your getting an intake anyway then dont even bother doing the airbox mod
