Default alarm randomly going off...

my car alarm went off randomly this evening by itself. the lights were flashing and the car was beeping. this is the first time this has happened.

i am gonna call audi tomorow and maybe run my car by to have it checked out, but is there anything anyone could tell me about this issue to put my mind at ease?

02' A4.

Yeah dude, if your windows or sunroof are open, the wind will trip the cabin motion detector. You can disable it with the button on the side pillar of your car. As you're sitting in the driver's seat, it's over your left shoulder, halfway down towards the floor. Check your manual.

i will check the sensor in the morning. thanks.

panda, while i have your attention i might as well ask...

i want to replace my stock halogen lights and was thinking about the ecodes, but now am thinking about these:

http://www.oemhid.com/catalog/index.php

either the audi a8 package or the rs6 package - Not sure which fits my car, although the guy who i emailed at the site said the a8 package. (but someone on the forums said the a8s didn't fit; to get the rs6 package instead.)

so i am not sure what lights to get.

any suggestions?
