If you're lucky, it will just stop doing that. LOL.

My A4 had the same issue for like 2 weeks straight then it just stopped. Mine would go off randomly too for NO REASON!!!! Annoyed the hell out of me. THat was like 2.5 years ago though and it's never happened again.

Audi alarm poltergeist????

No, don't actually trust me on that. But I did the same as you and took it in to be looked at and they couldn't find anything wrong with it either.

They told me a stray or neighbors cat was probably setting the alarm off and i just didn't realize it. Those guys are AMAZING at their jobs , wouldn't ya say???? LOL.

does it happen in the same place? Like always at home? always at the grocery store? or does it happen everywhere?

If it happens everywhere, could be a fault battery or connection maybe tripping the circuit. If it's always in the same place, more than likely radio interferance.

My soon to be ex wifes 20th AE GTI's alarm locking signal would trip off the neighbors car alarm every time she locked the car if their car was in range.

I had a simililar problem where my keys wouldn't work in certain places, I am pretty sure it was signal interference.

Mine did the same. Try opening and closing every door, hood and trunk.
