To all the experienced Audi forum members...

I probably do more reading than posting, I see a lot of abbreviations and acronyms for parts, performance etc... ie. ECU, DV, MAF... I would like to get a list of acronyms and what they stand for. If everyone contributed a couple, before long I'll be able to understand all this HI-TECH talk.

That's way too broad. Here, bluesnapper, some to get you started:


ECU - Electronic Control Unit

MAF - Mass Air Flow

CEL - Check Engine Light

DV - Diverter Valve

BOV - Blow Off Valve

TB - Throttle Body

FMIC - Front Mount InterCooler


Not so technical aronyms.....

PITA - Pain In The ***

IMHO - In My Honest Opinion

There are more. More people may chime in and provide additional ones
