I was wondeirng all u guys iwth the 2.8s what u guys have for mods right now. I really want to get my car faster and i am wondering what u guys have done. I dont want to go all teh way to a s/c yet nor do i have the cash for it. What would give me the most performance right now?

 

Prolly a nice full free flow exhaust, and highflow cats. Afterthat, i would do a intake since your a 2.8.

 

Oh yeah, i would def chip with giac chip, it makes a differnce.

 

taht will give me like what 15hp? How much will that run for me? Flashloader?

 

I'm thinking about working on mods for mine too.... its just too slow, and not mean sounding enough! Sounds to me so far that the first thing to do is exhaust, intake, and chip.... should the chip come after the exhause system or before?

 

2.8 isnt a highly moddable engine... if your looking for speed and mods after mods. go with the 1.8 as for my 2.8 im not modding a think on it.. Because well. I just would rather maintain it and keep it running perfectly

Let us know how things turn out... which parts you used, $$$$$, gains, and so on...
some aggressive cams will give you an extra growl and more torque at your power band...

 

i will, the tops on the list thou are tint, HID and then intake. Then exhaust and chip when funds become availble. NOt sure if i will get all those done by the end of the summer but i will see.

 

first of all guys... the 2.8 isn't any less moddable than most engines.. it's just that the 1.8T is so overwhelmingly moddable it puts the 2.8 to shame. and yes, exhaust, intake, cams, chip would be my suggestion
