Almost-wrecked-my-car stories
I accidentally tapped my brakes in a 'higher than suggested speed' turn and locked up my wheels for a split second and straightened out the car. Would have ended pretty bad if I didn't react quickly and get myself back on course. I didn't actually realize what happened until about half an hour later.
i had a big rig try and come into my lane i honked and he slamed on the brakes and jack knifed. Wasnt a crowded road so noone hit him. And i ahve had a few like cameron when teh car slides out and have to fix it ur like oo that could have been bad.
runnin around some winding roads with two friends. came around a corner to a minivan in the middle of the road. i was third in the single file line. i missed it by inches. one of my buddies fishtailed his 90cs around it and hit a guard rail tho.
Was looking at a car coming into my lane on a street, 2 lanes each way. He was going the other way, and was kinda drifting over, so I was concentrating on him. THen I looked up to see a car stopped in my lane. No time to even brake, so I busted a 45 mile an hour lane change. I must say the A4 handled it without a bit of a problem.
I was just talking bout that kind of driving today, how most people will just crash into the back of the car infront of them eventhou they have an emty lane open next to them.. Good job on the save.
I recently have had a bunch of dumbasses pulling out infront of me, I'll be doing like 50 down the street (that the speed limit) and they will wait untile I'm almost there and then pull out. I've come really close a couple of times. What i don't get is I'm in a bright red car with bright lights sometimes lights on in the day, how the hell do you miss that. but by far my fave. story is when I was in my old beater. I was like fourth in a line of 7 on a two lane road in a rain storm, I don't know why the guy in front stoped but the three two infornt of me hit him, i went off roading, and the rest followed up for a beautiful six car pile up. When the cop got there, he asked why I was there (you know they like to run everyone off that wasn't involved.) I told him that I was between those two cars and he said how the hell did I get out, I told him I went muddin, and pointed to my stuck car about a hundred yards up the side of the road. good times.

Going down Pelham pkwy in the Bronx towards City Island. I was in the left lane doing about 45 and this idiot in the right lane comes by and makes a left turn in front me to get to a turn-around. I locked it up, went sideways onto the median right between 2 trees as my life passed before my eyes. I finally stopped on the grass and sat there for a minute to get it back together and I was on my way. Funny thing is, us NY peeps get a bad rap for being bad(also read inconsiderate) drivers but, since I moved to the south I can say that these morons are in general the worst I've come across. Everyone here watches too much Nascar and thinks they're Dale JR.
Well, this is one reason why i got rid of my mustang.....they say theres traction control on the 2003 model...thats a joke..i was going the speed limit on the way to school and it was raining....lost control going through a puddle and didnt realize how deep it was and lost control going 55 mph...hit a curb after the 180 and went through bushes and into a parking lot...scariest thing i have been through.. 6 months later i wrecked into a fire hydrant and ended going with the A4 quattro system and havent had a problem since..Audi owner for life!
Extremely snowy. Incline driveway on busy street. Black ice under car. Put up e-brake, get out, 2 minutes later, it starts sliding down slowly towards the street w/ incoming traffic coming at about 40mph. stopped less than a foot away from the road. i could see the crash in my head, like in one of those flashes, but thank god it didn't happen.
