So, I have a weird noise coming from somewhere under the car, this noise is not speed sensitive.. it occures with both city and highway driving. I am dumbfounded because the car seems to not be affected by it. any ideas?

It sounds like a paper clip in a soda can, just a very noticible clinging..

sounds like its mostly comming from the left side and when I go over the little plastic reflectors I can hear it... turning doesn't make a noise..

 

has a c/v boot been replaced?? it could be an electrical tie which hasn't been cut to size

 

I checked my c/v boots for tears when my car was on the lift to get my custom exhaust fitted and they looked fine.. As for the electrical tie would it be some where around the breaks??

hmmm a tick tick sound is like something rotating and catching every revolution that's why I mentioned tie wraps

 

its def not the exhaust.. what makes me so dumbfouned is it only audible when i drive over a plastic reflector its barley audible over my exhaust when im just crusing..

 

I would check the suspension... The sound does not differ from 20mph to 60mph when going over a reflector?

I would think it could be something loose or possibly cracked.. but I would check it out.. heck send it to an alignment shop and have them check it out.. Get it aligned while your there.. Couldnt hurt...

 

Then again.. it could just be a wrench in the wheel well that bangs agains the car when going over a bump....

Empty the car completely and see if it still is there..
