Default amp install for 96 A4

Anyone have a diagram for a 96 A4? I am looking to install an amp but need to know
if factory radio has rca plugs or not. I have the factory changer but do not see any wiring for
an amp. thanks

if you have bose there is an amp back near the cd changer...if it's non bose i believe the amp is built into the stock speakers...but there should be rca cables either way...i would think..

well, check your head unit... if it says bose, its bose, if it doesnt, then your care is non-bose.
I have a 2000 a4, non-bose... and the amp was attached to the .... rear (i want to say drivers side) speaker. there are ways to bypass the amp, though I'm not entirely sure of how it's done. As for your RCA's... no clue dude. Upgrade your HU though, if it does have pre-outs, they are probably like 1 volt...haha, they will be weaaaaaaak.

Your amplifying stock speakers right, not adding a sub?

my car has the bose system and there are no Bose insignias visible anywhere...on the speakers themselves, the amp, and the HU display says "BOSE" for about 3 seconds when i start my car, that's it

haha, yeah i forgot about that -- that it only shows up when you first turn the stereo on, it lights up BOSE for a few seconds. My bad.

If you have the BOSE amp on a rack in the back then yeah there are "RCA" like cables in the back. Not tradional ones though, you have to splice into the factory wiring harness.

this is the plug on the back of the bose amp. Audi uses a common ground system. That means you'll have to take an RCA cable and crimp the two rca grounds to the line level common ground.
