Default amplifier

i have a 98 a4 2.8 quattro. it has the bose system, which sounds great, except the back two subs sound really bad, it got the point were i disconnected them. i read somewhere that its actually the amp thats messed up. does anyone know where i can find a cheap one to replace it? or what should i do?

you could just replace the whole damn system with some infinity kappas that might sound a little better than the bose.. and wouldnt have to deal with the stock amp

theres a web site that says they'll repair the amp for $90, i just have to take it out and ship it to them. good/bad idea??? and , im not replacing the system with kappas, the bose have amazing sound clarity and once i get the subs working again the car really bumps. plus, im trying to save up for a body kit and a paint job. thanks for the advice though!
