I was driving home last night, not even driving hard, just crusin. I was getting onto the freeway, I was going more than slow around the on ramp because of the fresh rain and I know oil rises on top of the water making a very slippery surface to drive on. So I was going about 30 and I hit an oil slick, didn't even have time to react(even at 30) I wasn't even able to counter steer, or accelerate out of it. It sent me straight into the curb, my front axle is tweaked, ,my front left wheel was chipped away, I think there is def some body damage in the front, my whole left side curtain airbags deployed (extremely loud) I know thats going to cost a grip to fix all of this. Be careful guys on those fresh wet roads, audis do handle extremely well especially on wet roads, but when theres oil on the ground, theres really nothing you can do. Anyone in san diego have a black on black 01 1.8TQM they want to sell me?

Oh man, I'm sorry.

That freaking sucks a lot.

Are you planning to get it fixed or go with a new one?

AHHH nooo!! im so sorry to hear that man. what freeways were u gettin on to? are u planning on getting it fixed or getting a whole new car? cause it looks like u had quite a bit invested. i might know a buddy who can get a cheaper a4 1.8t but its not gonna be ne thing like urs right now. ill check it out though. hows insurance going? ahhhh this makes me cringe cause that happened to me getting on the 5 north from rosecrans and totally lost it. always gotta be 10x more careful with our 1st and 2nd heavy rains. soo sorry man.

I honestly doubt the insurance will give me good cash for it.. None of my mods are covered/insured.. I dont have the car right now so I cant take pics.. , I was getting onto the 5 south from balboa, you know right before you go into Pb.. I was in the inside lane and almost out of the apex when I hit the oil.. So be careful when and if you take that turn its really slippery... I had no time whatsoever to react thats how fast i slid going from a 30mph mark.. Im already skimming autotrader just incase I need to pick up a new car.. I dont want to be car less over the holiday break... Especially if the snow is good!
