Default Another newb question

I've found that generally manual tranny's hold more power than auto's. How do the A4's tranny's hold up? I'm leaning towards auto simply because I'm tired of the heavy traffic I deal with everyday. But if the auto is significantly weaker than the manual I'll probably go that way.

the Auto is WAY weaker than the standard. It's not even recommended to upgrade the turbo with the auto. Plus the enjoyment factor doesn't compare.

Yes, much weaker. But the other factor has go to be boredom. I enjoy driving a standard and never found and auto that came close. LMO

Yea I generally don't like autos but it wares on ya in traffic every day. I just looked at the UK audi site and they list the manual being 0.5 secs quicker 0-62. That's a huge difference. Does it seem like the Manual is really that much quicker?

Manual's are way better. They are more fun, they better MPG and they make the car way faster. I test drove both before buying mine and the auto sucked and i didn't even want to drive the 2nd then i did and i decided to buy mine.
