Default Another staggered rim Question

Hey guys, heres the deal. I'm getting VitaminB6's HP Ligthening rims for my birthday. Selling my current rims, giving parents the profit... turning 18 so my parents are willing to give me some gwap and hook me up with a sweet set of 18 inch rims.

My dad previously owned a G35 and has tires that he used for mabye 300 miles sitting in our garage... they fit 18's but are staggered.

So I am either getting non-staggered w/ 225/40/18 Tires

Or staggered with w/ 225/40/18 Front Tires and w/ 265/35/18 Rear Tires

I currently have the tires for the staggered setup in the garage, and my dad would like for me to use them and save him some cash... but I am afriad of a few things. I am very fond of my current ability to swerve and avoid stuff, or take my car on the backroads for a little fun. Will staggered wheels hurt my ability to do such things with my quattro system? I am very fond of the Staggered rims looks but I fear hurting my car and its swift abilities.

Personal experiences would be great. So would advice, THANKS!

THANKS

Getting those exact rims in hypersilver so it will look more metallic, looks insanely good.

I think as long as they are the same circumference you shouldn't have any problems

go here - plug your two sizes in and see how close they are

I'm confused.. I just put in the tire I'm currently running, then what I want to run.. how does that help me with staggered?

Do not stagger your wheels.

You will get pregnant and you will die.

Naw man, be serious... Your someone that would know..

Need your help. What kind of performance losses will I see? Anything that would hurt someone who has an A4 that at most will street race or have some fun on a backroad?

Won't be tracking it or looking for record times..

Help me out!

The proper choice would be 225/40's in the front and 255/35's in the rear. Or, 235/40 in the front and 265/35 in the rear. The 265's in the rear is a lot of tire though and you will probably have rubbing issues once you lower your car.

To be quite honest, I think there are a lot of better wheel choices out there for the same amount of money you'd spend for the HP Evo's.

I've kinda made my mind up with going HP Evo's.. huge fan of the looks... If there gonna be an issue then I'll most likely drop the staggered setup and go with a regular rim package

You're not going to have any problems with the setup, you're just better off with a different tire matchup. The 225/40's and 255/35's are going to be your best choice when it comes to proper size matching, performace, and appearance on a set of 18x8.5/9.5 wheels.

I would sell the 265's on Craigslist and use the money to get a set of 255's for the back.

Check out www.edgeracing.com for really great deals on tires.
