If i was to make a sig for myself, what kind of dimensions should it be?

And where are they hosted/could anyone do that part for me because I am stupid with internet stuff.

Well I made my sig, now there is a problem- it f*ckin' won't come up when I upload it (its a JPEG). Will try again tomorrow, I'm out for the night.
