anyone actually do the heat shield mod

Default anyone actually do the heat shield mod

if so, anyone have any advice for doing it?

Don't.
There is no way it is more efficient than the stock air box.

Its not as efficient but if you are going with a different set up it really does help

would you be able to cut a hole in the stock air box for the aftermarket intake to sit and do something similar to the airbox mods with the hole in the wheel wells so you get more cold air and more sheilding from heat?

i highly doubt that

i like the evo intake for 2 reasons
1 greater throttle response
2 better gas mileage

so i figure why not make a heat shield like the one mentioned on aw to prevent heat soak

You do know that "or" will cost you around $300 right?
