I have a 2001 A4 1.8T and both fog lights burnt. Did anyone replaced this before? Do I have to drop the bumper or is it accessible from the front?

 

The foglight projector is held in by two torx screws (could also be phillips on later cars)
accessible from the front of the car after you remove the grill inserts and pry out the plastic cover.

Unlatch the wiring harness and remove.
Then remove the two screws on the rear of the light housing to get at the bulb.
Replace bulb and install is reverse order.

Thanks. I do have that manual and I saw the first words under the heading: "Remove bumper" see section Body etc.
That is why I asked if anyone has a way of doing it differently.
