running a ko4 with ko3 software ?? im thinking of getting a ko4 and getting the new software alittle further down the line, if some body has it can u tell me the difference in power between ko3 chipped to ko3 software with a ko4 ?? thanks in advanced

 

dont do that, you are asking for problems, save your money and do a complete K04 upgrade all at once and save your headaches, your gonna need these items:

FMIC, exhaust, intake, injectors, chip with the right programming, new clutch casue your stock one won't be able to handle the power but you can let it go before you replace it, etc.

you'll find as you upgrade your power you end up needing things that break, sometimes its a cheap repair, but most of the time they are not....

I did it for a week or so and my car didnt run that good. I had an APR 93oct profile at the time. I dont suggest doing it and if you do get it rechipped very soon

 

yeah your just asking for a world of problems, I did mine in steps... if i had to do it over again this is what i would do

Chip first
intake, DV next
(these would be the cheapest with the most gain without starting to mess with the car)

then the rest all at once:
FMIC, Exhaust w/high flow cat, K04 or other turbo, fuel injectors, new software to run the new modifications...

Clutch will be needed after all this...the stock clutch can't support the new power... I waited til mine was completely shot.
