anyone running nitrous?
i think nitrous is pointless on any car, unless its used to spool a turbo for racing or something like that
i also dont like the "drag cars" that have motors built to use nitrous... and without spray the cars are slower the a 85 cadillac eldorado

I have only seen 2-3 audis ever running nitrous. You have to know exactly what your doing with the stuff. Audis turbo charged motors just don't like it i guess. The A4/A6 2.8 v6 is the motor to do it on though. I know of one guy that ran it and ran 13.9 in his stock 2.8, haha.
Nitrous would be a good addition to a turbo... Assuming its a wet system..
The nitrous is a cold shot of slowly combustable gas that will cool the charge, preventing some detonation, allowing you to run more boost without pinging..
Problem is its expensive to keep refilling it..
My question, is anyone running Water injection?
Im running water injection on my 944 turbo w/ standalone and a t3/t04, using some winshield washer fluid (has a good percentage of alcohol) and it allows me to run a couple more psi safely on the street without running race gas. Not a major difference in hp by itself.. Also it keeps the pistons clean of carbon build up (wierd, I know... but we found this out durring a rebuild..) We have ours set to spray at 15psi.. and run 19psi on the street vs 16 or 17..

Since you have a 1.8t I really wouldn't recomend nitrous. Stick to whats out there, you have plenty of other options that are available for your car. Unless you where just going to run a small 15-30 shot to eliminate turbo lag I think you would be fine. Just make sure you do every thing right, don't cut any corners!
