Default Anyone use Kumho ECSTA Supra 712s

My deal on the BFG's fell through . I've been searching Tire Rack looking for the best set for my money and I'm leaning towards Kumho's ECSTA Supra 712 (225/40R18). Unfortunately, money is a big issue (otherwise I would go ahead and pay $136 a tire for the BFG KDW2s). What are your thoughts?

well i had em on the rear so it was fer traction most of the time but all around they suked, for the same money u can get much better tires. the tread life also was bad.

Had them on my other car, worse tire I've ever had imo... Sidewall was not strong enough, flat spots like no other tire (7-10 miles every day to drive them out), very poor handling during cold rainy days and progressively noisy about 1/2 way through their life... Just my experience.

Agree with above, I had 3 of 4 replaced because the belts in the sidewalls were breaking down and was getting bubbles. Not warranteed. Our roads aren't that bad out here in WA, so if you live in an area with bad roads I would not recommend them at all.

Can you afford the avons? Tirerack is one of the only places to get them... but I'd pursue that option... the tech 550 a/s or something... good looking tire, great prices, amazing reviews.

The 712's are an ok tire - they do not "suck".
They do, however, get noisy quickly.
I thought the traction was fairly good on wet and dry.

What about the BFG g-Force Sport from Discount Tire for $119 ea? Are those worth mentioning?
