the apexi SAFC

its an air/fuel controler, it can change fuel cureves and all kinds of stuff.

it sounds like a great alternative to chipping, you can adjust all your fuel maps and make your rpm range(redline) and set idle and all kinds of things

It may sound like a nice alternative, but for close to 400 bucks, why not go for a chip/flash? I don't know much about the SAFC, so I really can't help ya man.

our ecu is not like japanese cars' ecu. You cannot really have full control unless you have standalone. So it's better chip it.

You could proly run an SAFC (a must have on my eclipses) but you will find it cheaper to buy a proven tune then to buy all that is need to properly tune your car.

SAFC-400$
Boost gauge- 50$
EGT gauge- 150$
Wide band 02- 250$
MBC (turboxs)- 100$
Injectors- 300$

Total- 1200$

K03 GIAC Tune- 500$
BT tune- 800$ with injectors

He won't have full control with a SAFC as it still is a piggy back type control (tricking the ecu into thinking what you want it to) Standalone is standalone.
