Apr Chip making my ecu go bad????
So i have had multiple problems with my 98 1.8t. Got two lean codes. audi said hoses.... so i replaced. they came back. then they said plug coils, i replaced. Fuel pump went bad. i replaced. still getting same codes. replaced fuel filter. getting same codes. Now they are saying the apr chip has screwed up my ecu and needs new computer? Can this happen? Audi said they could order the part but if that doesnt fix problem, they have to charge me for the part anyway.
My car is acting funny. i took back to have audi reset the CEL but as soon as i got car back, they came on again.
Sometimes the turbo spins but the engine cuts out when it starts so spool.
Other times, it doesnt spin at all and i can floor it without cutting out but no turbo.
If audi didnt reset the codes, could that be what is throwing off the computer? If all my problems are fixed and the CEL is never reset, could the computer still think the car is fuked up and not run well?
Please help. I dont think it was the chip that did it!
Any thoughts??

get a Vag-Com, and see what the problem really is... also find somebody in your neighborhood, that will allow you to use their ECU plug it in, and see if the car runs fine, if it doesnt, then you know you wont need to order one
now autozone has the code reader that checks the codes for the CEL, is that the same as a vag com??
Sorry im a noob?
autozone checked and i got two lean codes. air fuel mixture codes.
would a vaccuum line cause cutting out??? cause it sounds like i may have a leak!

Well I guess you haven't used the "search" function. I clicked on search and put in "p1136" and came up with this thread:
https://www.audiforums.com/m_171620/tm.htm
Try the same for p1128. There should be some info in the threads that help.
