So im officially pissed. im going k04 possibly soon, and i ahev APR. well i just talked to the people at APR and they say they wont have a k04 chip for it until 6 months or so.

They also say they will ahve an agressive file, but not as agressive as GIAC becuase according to them, the GIAC Hammer file or whatever is taking the turbo to above its recommended efficiency range and they are wearing their turbos really fast... :-((((([:@][:@]

 

Well, sounds like a good excuse to go to a gt2871r or t3t4 instead.

How much do they charge to upgrade your chip to the new program (once it does come out)??

Is it like the cost of a whole new chip? If that's the case there is no reason for you to stick with apr, unless you want to.

 

well im sure you would get a discount. jsut liek its cheep for me to get higher octain programming and the like.

ando, im not sure if ima wait. thats a long *** time and ill be working for money for college. im looking at a damages gt28rs at the moment with programming and injectors and manifold i believe for like 1500 and ima have the guy at work that rebuilds out big turbos for disel generators work his magic on the gtrs. hopefully.

 

i dont believe the gt series turbos are rebuildable
