Default Apr Silcone intake pipe

My friend has been in the process of putting one of these on his car for about the past three days.. He takes the stock one off on a normal basis and attempts to get this to stay on the intake side of his turbo. I didn't believe him at how hard it was untill I went over there and messed with his car for about 3 hours today trying to get one single piece of pipe to stay on.. Anyone running these on there car? Anyone had/having the same problem he is having trying to make it stay on the intake side of the turbo?
Thank you
stu

I would have thought it to be as easy as the stock one...you are ising the smaller of the two sides on the turbo side right?...it tapers ato a smaller dia. as it heads for the turbo...I know my stocker takes less than 5 minutes to put back on...maybe it's a defect...I have never heard of this problem before...Im sure it may be a pain, but I can't see it taking anyone more than maybe 20 minutes to install(at the most)...

I'm not sure what to tell you...maybe some1 else will know

does it slide off mine did that a couple of times you need to get the hose as far on to the turbos flange as possiable and tighten the crap out of it

I am a relatively knowledgable mechanic when it comes to b5 a4's.. I'm definatly putting the right side on, and yes its always sliding off.. I get it on and then it pulls off in the process of putting everything on... T clips?

Yeah, but we had tried to use a t clamp and it wouldn't fit around the turbo housing with how thick the bolt is... Any other roads?

I change out my stock turbo inlet pipe with an APR one - only took me about 20 min I think -I used the clamps provided by APR - don't know what problems your having that I didn't have

im thinking about getting the turbo inlet pipe and throttle body pipe as well, do you guys notice better air flow or better throttle response with these hoses installed?
