Depends on how you drive it really, I have that chip and it defineltly affects it. If you wana economy car buy a festiva. With the chip you be running about 7sec 0 to 60.

Chip made a small decrease in my mileage, only because I drive much more aggressively with it. Highway on-ramps now represent an excellent opportunity to hit the accelerator.

Out of curiosity, what are you getting on the highway now?

if you want economy when you need it and speed when you need it go with laughing gas. (not for your car, but for you)

got some comedians here heh?

I'm not all that worried about fuel effeciency, just curious about the changes. To tell you the truth I havent been paying attention to my hwy mpg(my girlfriend has been driving it more than me....)

i"m happy with the performance of the car...guess i'm just used to my chevy and the power i can feel with the 350 in it...and I know that the audi is capable of giving me a little more than it does now. I'd just like a little more punch when getting onto the highway and such.

Chipping your car will provide better gas mileage IF you don't alter your driving habits from before. I've never heard of that though. Most people go drive more aggressively. And why shouln't they.

right...thats the answer i was looking for. Believe me, I"m not gonna try to make my car faster and not take advantage of it...I was just curious if the chip could actually increase my fuel effeciency(under normal driving conditions).
I have another question though...If I do upgrade my chip, is there anything else that should also be upgraded to preserve the integrity of my car, or will my car be fine stock?

It's recommended to upgrade the diverter valve. And before you ask which one is best go visit this https://www.audiforums.com/BOV%27s%2...m_14128/tm.htm

Most people just use the OE Bosch TT 710N diverter valve.
