Default APR Tuning ?'s

Okay so I think that I have decided to go with the APR tuning, and I had a few questions for the more experience users with the 1997-1999.5 APR tuning with the Home Computer Upgrade Interface http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/e...ade_a418t.html theres the link to the page. Im wondering with the APR Home Computer Upgrade Interface, can I just have one program, and change the setting from stock to chipped 93, to maybe a new turbo if I get one? Can I even change the program with my home compter? I am a computer guy so I know lots about computer....is the interface USB or Serial? Please reply back stat....Thanks

If you are planning on upgrading your turbo down the road, you are better off going with GIAC because they offer discounted upgrades.

I agree with miked here. I had an APR but when I installed a bigger turbo (K04) they did not support it for my 99.5 I had to switch to GIAC. GIAC also offers and upgrade program

Some poeple on these forums were told 2+ years ago the same thing. When I first got the APR chip I asked it also. I was told it was in development for the K04. THat was about over two years ago. I wouldnt hold your breath on them releasing a profile, but if the K03 is all you think your going to have I really like the APR chip I had.

You should go with GIAC regardless of wether or not you go BT in the future!!!!
APR has software for the K04.. There was a thread about it a couple weeks ago, and its on their site.

I was looking into this too, but here's the problem, in a 99.5 you can't do the home programing thing and you can only have one program on the chip. As for the ko4 upgrade you will have to get the chip reflashed for it by an apr dealer that's willing to do it, they do have the program for the ko4 but they don't advertise it since they want you to buy their apr's turbo setup.

They do have a program? Thats funny I e-mailed them a month ago asking about it and they said it was still in development. How did you find this out?
