OK... but amps still need power dude.
Self amplified does not mean self powered... so it should still need power and ground... and RCA's obviously, and remote. Basically you bought him an amp and a sub then... but I dont see how you can avoid any of the other necessary work required to install an amp and sub.

Im hookin it up for him with my cousin. Im not just gonna throw him the thing, i kno it has to be hooked up to the radio and the battery....its being taken care of.

I wasn't tryin to take away from your generosity! It's definately a tight thing your doing for him! I just wanted to make sure you knew what was involved, and that you werent thinking he could just plug it in and use it!

yea man i kno. I mean i'm no newbie to sound systems...i had a honda man!!! lol He's at college right now, so im gonna install it while hes gone, so when he comes back for winter break there is gonna be an odd vibration coming from the rear of the car
