audi 1.8t help with mods
hey i would like to put in a turbo can anyone give me info on how u did it and what u did not do to blow the engine on the car. i would also like any info in how much psi is runing on a stock turbo and if i can get more from it. would a turbo conterllor work good and get me more boost? which turbo would be good for my car it has 115,000km and i just want more boost or more HP plz give any info on this it would be great thanx

Borla, APR, Milltech are good exhausts
stock turbo boosts around 7-10 psi
A turbo controller, or boost controller is not good for a stock setup.
Depends on what power your looking for to recomend a turbo.. if your new to the 1.8t and dont want to spend a crap load of money for power, try getting a chip and then see how you feel. It will make you boost around 12-15 psi and give you 50 more hp and about 80 more tq. Very noticeable and big improvement with a chip!

Take a chill pill. What's the specifics on you car, I see it's a 2000, is it quattro or fwd? manual or tiptronic? How much are you willing to spend on your car? Is there any specific hp you'd like to get? Is this a daily driver car for you or is it more of a weekend warrior?
When you start modding your car, it quickly becomes a trade-off between reliability and power. So be prepared for stuff to break if you do start throwing money at it. Make sure to start an emergency car fund also.
