Default Audi A4 06/07 Reliability

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a new A4 2.0T Quattro (mainly for AWD because it snows a lot here in Utah) and coming from owning a lot of Hondas, I am concerned about reliability of Audis. I have heard negative things in the past regarding spotty reliability and expensive repairs, and am wondering if that's still true with the newer models and if you could provide some insight to what you know about the newer A4s.

I am also considering the BMW 328xi and the Lexus IS250 AWD, if you have comments on those I'd appreciate it as well. I heard BMW's 4 yr/50,000 mi comprehensive warranty was pretty good, but is it worth the extra few grand for the bimmer? The car will be driven normally to work every day, no real "sports" driving or racing or anything special, just want a good solid AWD luxury sedan, inputs welcome, thanks!

I live in Orem, what city you live in?

Audi's quattro system is the best AWD vehicle out there. The B7 A4 is very reliable, if you were to get a 96-01 i would tell you all the common problems. But if you get an 06 or 07 it should still have a warranty.

correct me if im wrong, but if I buy a used 06/07, or even certified pre-owned, the warranty still doesn't cover everything right? I really just don't want the car in the shop all the time due to problems, and I don't want to buy a car with potential problems just because it's under warranty. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "The B7 A4 is very reliable?" Thanks.

Btw, I live in Sandy.

B7 = 2005.5 - 2008

but, there aren't any major problems with the car at all. the B5 A4 and early B6 models had common problems that costed a lot, bad control arms, power steering racks would go out, wheel bearings went out easy, ect...

The B7 has no common problems like they did, it is a great car and has the best AWD system in the world. So what you heard about Audi's is about the older models.

if you take care of the car, all you'll have to worry about is regular maintanence.

Ive a audi since likeeeeeeeee July i think and i have a problem with it all the time. But its always been minor stuff. A bimmer or Lexus will be even worse.

Yeah. When i first got it Audi said."A rodent crawled up into my car and chewed out my oil sensor" not coverd under warranty.2nd i forget what it was called but my car would not hold a steady idle in neutral. covered under warranty. Now something is up with my brakes im not sure if its pads or what.
