Hey, what would you rather choose? Im shopping and im sure im getting the 2001 Audi A4 but im not sure. Should i get the Audi A4 2.8 V6?

Under 2001 im not thinking of getting one, i maybe do a 2000. But my brother had the 2001 Audi A4 1.8T and i liked it. Its very comfortable and had some great power to it

cause it had 55K miles. Im not sure which to get, the 2001 Audi A4 2.8 or the 1.8T. I was even thinking of making the 2.8 V6 into a 2.8T V6. The 2001 2.8's are rare i havent found

them yet, i was looking into a Wagon A4 they make it look like a RS4 or S4 wagon. Can anyone give me some good specs about these cars like which is faster and more comfortable?

Check out the stickies at the top of the page... "1.8t vs 2.8"- etc. Try a search too because this question is the very most common one asked, so theres tons of info on it if you try to search. Just type in "1.8t or 2.8" and just read all the threads and youll get a good idea about which is best for you. The swan was posted to keep the other members calm so they dont flame you for asking the ultimate noob question.. The flame suit was posted just incase the swan didnt work.

Short answer... You cant make a 2.8 into a 2.8T with a reasonable budget. I think one person has ever done it.
1.8t= slow stock, FAST with some mods
2.8=decent power stock, not many mods for it other than for appearance and a $upercharger.

yea man just read the stickies and do a search, but in a nutshell, 1.8t for a lot of mods, 2.8 for few mods, reliable

 

So from what im getting, is to get the 2001 A4 2.8 Hey is there i difference between the interior of the 2.8 & 1.8?

 

yes, 2.8 has real leather and wood grain trim
1.8 has leatherette and weird silver preforated trim
