Hi guys

I own a 55 Reg Audi A4, 2.0 TDI, 94k miles, BLB engine.

To cut a long story short, the oil pressure light came on recently, went to a local garage (not main dealers) and got the oil pump/balance shaft changed. That cost me £900.

Now the car is making a howling noise and I am told that the turbo could be going. So I am looking for a reconditioned turbo.

EuroParts have quoted me £360 for a reconditioned turbo but on eBay there is a German seller ATP selling 'new' turbochargers for £325 -

I have two questions

(1) - Firstly, which turbo should I go for? I'm not sure why ATP turbos are so cheap when new ones usually cost over £600.

(2) - Secondly, is there anything else I need to be wary about? Could something be going around the corner based on your experiences of similar faults? If so, I will probably sell it rather than keep it.
